We have a new installation of Azure ARC. Onboarding is fine and most toher functionaliyt seems to be in place. I missed, but now noticed the the MMA agent will reach end of support later this year.
Now the MMA agent is stuck on status 'Creating' and I am unable to figure out how to disable and remove it, since it will not be supported anyway.
We do not have any previous use of MMA in our environment so I just want to not use it.
Azure management agent installs fine and works as expected.
Any insights to share?
Thanks

@Mats Gustafsson - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thanks for reaching out to us.

Since you mentioned that you do not have any previous use of MMA in your environment, you can go ahead and uninstall it. Please follow the below steps for more info:

    1. Uninstall the Windows agent.
    2. Uninstall from Control Pane. a. Sign on to the computer with an account that has administrative rights. b. In Control Panel, select Programs and Features and select Microsoft Monitoring Agent > Uninstall > Yes.

After you have uninstalled the MMA agent, you can continue to use the Azure management agent.

If you encounter any issues during the uninstallation process, you can try stopping the MMA agent service before uninstalling it as below:

    1. Open the Services console by typing "services.msc" in the Run dialog box (Windows key + R).
    2. Locate the "Microsoft Monitoring Agent" service in the list of services.
    3. Right-click on the service and select "Stop" from the context menu.

Once the service has been stopped, you can proceed with the uninstallation process.

Hope this helps. and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

to check if you have it installed, go directly under Control Panel (select small icons) and see if you have "Microsoft Monitoring Agent"
