@Mats Gustafsson - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thanks for reaching out to us.
Since you mentioned that you do not have any previous use of MMA in your environment, you can go ahead and uninstall it. Please follow the below steps for more info:
- Uninstall the Windows agent.
- Uninstall from Control Pane. a. Sign on to the computer with an account that has administrative rights. b. In Control Panel, select Programs and Features and select Microsoft Monitoring Agent > Uninstall > Yes.
After you have uninstalled the MMA agent, you can continue to use the Azure management agent.
If you encounter any issues during the uninstallation process, you can try stopping the MMA agent service before uninstalling it as below:
- Open the Services console by typing "services.msc" in the Run dialog box (Windows key + R).
- Locate the "Microsoft Monitoring Agent" service in the list of services.
- Right-click on the service and select "Stop" from the context menu.
Once the service has been stopped, you can proceed with the uninstallation process.
Hope this helps. and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
