When the Azure Information Protection Scanner is configured to scan a repository on a schedule, I notice that the scan runs every five minutes and a summary report is created. Are these reports ever deleted so the drive does not become full?

@jpcapone Thank you for reaching out to us, As I understand your ask is related to the log files and its size/retention.

As per our documentation - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/azureinformationprotection/Set-AIPScannerConfiguration?view=azureipps#-reportlevel:~:text=The%20folder%20stores%20up%20to%2060%20reports%20for%20each%20scanning%20cycle%20and%20all%20but%20the%20latest%20report%20is%20compressed%20to%20help%20minimize%20the%20required%20disk%20space. - The folder (%localappdata%\Microsoft\MSIP\Scanner\Reports) stores up to 60 reports for each scanning cycle and all but the latest report is compressed to help minimize the required disk space and old files will be deleted.

If you want to retain old files, in that case you need to have a backup solution in place.

Let me know if you have any further questions, feel free to post back.
