Exchange Online Backup Connector for Hybrid Switch

Hello,

I'm wondering if having an additional connector for routing as a 'backup' route is a good idea to setup prior to modifying a Hybrid configuration.

Honestly, I dont see the value. Where would this backup go through? Another ISP?

According to this document you can have multiple paths to the same location. I was just thinking of another connector that was pointing to my old Exchange servers. Then when I modify hybrid I update the hybrid created connectors to my new servers.

I am trying to find value in doing something like that. :)

I posted a response but apparently it didn't go through. :(

I was thinking of adding a connector to go to my older exchange servers I am replacing. Then running hybrid wizard to move the connector to new servers.

I am trying to find value in it. Seeing if a redundant path would avoid any sort of issue.

I didn't think you need to do this. You can choose one or more Exchange Servers to act as Exchange Hybrid when running HCW.
