I just got a free Azure subscription. Unfortunately it's nowhere to be found between the other subscriptions I'm a part of.

Topic A:

What do I have to expect now? Am I going to be billed for this subscription that I cannot use? After the free first year expires?

Topic B:

How can I cancel the subscription if I cannot find it?

@ReiRo - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thanks for reaching out.

    1. Regarding the first question, if you have just received a free Azure subscription and you cannot find it in your subscriptions list, it is possible that the subscription has not been activated yet. Usage only appears in the Azure portal after you start using free resources, so if you haven't used any resources, usage isn't shown.

Also, usage and status doesn't immediately appear. It's delayed for one to two days after you use a resource.

Regarding billing, you are not charged for services included for free with your Azure free account, unless you exceed the limits of the services.

To remain within the limits, you can use the portal to track the free service usage. After the free first year expires, you will be charged for any usage that exceeds the free service limits.

    1. And your second question, if you cannot find your subscription, you can try searching for it using the search bar in the Azure portal. If you still cannot find it, you can contact Azure Billing Support for assistance here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/products (more to be added later on).

I suggest you create a support request over here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/create-ticket/. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

FYI: Azure Billing and Subscription Management support is included in the Basic Support Plan without any charge. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/plans/

Hope this helps. and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
