I am trying to set up a new work computer but I get an error code 801c03ed. How do I fix it?
As @Dillon Silzer already mentioned, the user is not allowed to join the device to Entra ID.
You (or your IT administrator) might have a look at https://entra.microsoft.com/#view/Microsoft_AAD_Devices/DevicesMenuBlade/~/DeviceSettings/menuId/Overview. That's the screen in Entra ID where you can change the setting or look up the Security Group that is allowed to join a device:
It is good practice not to let every user join devices every time. This prevents users to accidentally join personal devices. So, usually only one (or a few) groups of users can join a new device to Entra ID.

The error 801c03ed means that the administrator policy does not allow users to join devices.
You will need to contact your IT department and ask them to check if your Microsoft account is allowed to join the Azure AD (Entra ID).
