Dear Experts,

I don't want to use wireless LAN, and I want to connect to the network using a LAN cable on "Windows10" or "WindowsServer2019".

I want to prevent users from configuring wireless LAN settings for security reasons.

Can I disable wireless LAN using the registry or group policy settings?

I am sorry that my English is so bad.

Best regards, Yanazaki

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

You can prevent users from configuring wireless local area networks by turning off the automatic configuration service for wireless network cards.

Press the "Win+R" combination key to open the runtime window. Enter "services. msc" in the runtime window and press the "Enter" key. The Service Manager will immediately open.

In the Service Manager, you can find the WLAN AutoConfig service. Right click on the service and select "Properties". In the "Properties" window, find the "Startup Type" option and select "Manual". Return to the Service Manager window, right-click on the WLAN AutoConfig service, and select "Stop"

Hope this answer can help you well.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
