Critical Issue: MSIX Installer on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 Fails to Execute Admin-Privileged EXE for Standard Users
I have developed an MSIX installer containing several DLLs and executables. One of the executables requires administrative privileges to function properly. Upon installation, the MSIX package deploys the binaries to the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps
directory, which is a secured location. However, on Windows 10 Pro version 22H2, when the MSIX is installed by a standard user, everything functions as expected except for the executable that requires admin privileges. Interestingly, on other versions of Windows, the application works without any issues.
This issue is critical for our production release, and we seek assistance in resolving it. Could you kindly provide guidance or assistance in troubleshooting this issue? We appreciate any help you can provide in resolving this matter promptly.
