SharePoint : External users cannot download files shared externally but can view and edit.

Hello,

If anyone can help out that would be great, i have recently come across an issue which worked perfectly fine for past few years...when i share a file to an external user i want the user to be able to download the file in SharePoint, now with the new updated SharePoint UI i see a different sharing settings....as shown below. I was assuming if i select Can view settings, the external user should be able to download the file....it does allow to view the file but there is no option to download the file anymore...i have also tested the can edit settings which gives an edit option but still there is no download option.

if someone has any input or solution it would be much appreciated.

Hi @Shivam Patel,

If the external user opens the file via the link, go to File >> Save as, can you find the Download a copy there?
