We're setting up data classification in Purview and we've installed the MIP scanner on a server to scan our on-premises fileservers. It's successfully scanning and classifying the data. Is there a way to search the files for specific content such as search strings through Purview? This would be very useful to us.

Use the Content search tool in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal to quickly find email in Exchange mailboxes, documents in SharePoint sites and OneDrive locations, and instant messaging conversations in Skype for Business. You can use the content search tool to search for email, documents, and instant messaging conversations in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Groups.

I've checked out the Content Search tool, however, it doesn't give on-prem servers as an option to search against. Is there no way to search the content of files stored on a fileserver even if they're being scanned for data classification?
