I'm writing to share my concerns for license of font. Particularly, my company would like to use font "Arial Font Family" for commercial like packing our products. However, my company bought license for Microsoft Software for all devices before. As far as I know, licenses for software provide free use of font. My question is "Do I have to buy more licenses of Arial font for commercial purpose?"

    Hello Nguyen Khanh Duy,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

We recommend that you contact the owner of the font, Monotype Corporation, as Arial fonts are not open source or public domain fonts and are copyrighted by Monotype Corporation. We include Arial fonts on Windows for the convenience of users in their daily non-commercial activities, but this does not mean that you can use it in any commercial project for free.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Yanhong Liu
