vCPU quota incorrect

I recently deleted an E16-4ds_v4 virtual machine. Once the machine was deleted I noticed that quota of vCPUs doesn't included the vCPUs that where allocated to that machine.

How do I get these back or am I misunderstanding how the quota works?

    Hi Alex,

After deleting Standard_E16-4ds_v4 VM you should see your quota usage go down. For example, if you navigate to My quotas you should see usage for Standard EDSv4 Family vCPUs for the region go down by 16 from the level it was at when the VM still existed. The quota limit itself should stay the same.

Above assumes the VM was not a Spot VM.

Are you seeing something different than what I described?

    Hi @Alex Ross,

Thanks for contacting Microsoft Q&A platform.

I understand that you are deleting a VM but still seeing it count towards the vCPU limit. Please correct me if I am misunderstanding.

Once your instance is deleted the usage should be restored for both the VM-family vCPU and regional vCPU quotas. If you are not seeing it restored, please share screenshots from the Usage + quotas page and the Virtual machines page. We will be happy to work with you directly to investigate.

    Hope this finds you well.
