Hello Team,

Recently I bought 2 subscriptions :-

  1. Pay-As-You-Go
  2. Azure subscription 1

Now both of these subscriptions are inside my Default directory. I mean to say when I signed up for the Azure free trial using my personal email id, the subscriptions are bought on that ID.

After buying the subscription, the next thing i did was I created a tenant.

In the Create directory pane, I have filled all the following values:-

  • ORGANIZATION NAME: Provided my test company name.
  • INITIAL DOMAIN NAME: Provided the initial domain name.
  • COUNTRY OR REGION: Provided the country name.

and finally click Create.

I then sign out from Azure portal and sign back in again. Clicked my email address on the upper right corner and click Switch directory and selected

    Hi,

After selecting the directory, you may need to confirm your choice and sign in again to authenticate with the selected directory. Once signed in, you'll be switched to the selected directory, and you can navigate within it to manage your subscriptions, resources, and other settings as needed.

Try doing this in incognito mode once and check

Kindly accept answer if it helps , Thanks!

@Anirban Guha Majumdar Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to help!

It seems like you have created a new Azure AD tenant and switched to it using the Azure portal. This is a common practice when you want to separate your Azure resources and subscriptions from your personal email ID and create a dedicated environment for your organization.

When you create a new Azure AD tenant, it is a separate instance of Azure AD that is dedicated to your organization. You can then add users, groups, and applications to this tenant and manage their access to your Azure resources and subscriptions.

After creating the new Azure AD tenant, you can switch to it using the Azure portal by clicking on your email address in the upper right corner and selecting "Switch directory". This will allow you to manage your Azure resources and subscriptions in the context of the new tenant.

Please note that switching to a new Azure AD tenant will not automatically move your existing subscriptions to the new tenant. You will need to transfer the ownership of your subscriptions to the new tenant if you want to manage them in the context of the new tenant. You can do this by following the instructions in the following link:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/billing-subscription-transfer

Hope this helps. If this doesn't help resolve your issue, you may contact Azure subscription management support by creating a support request. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

Here is the link - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case.

FYI: Azure Billing and Subscription Management support is included in the Basic Support Plan without any charge.
