    Hello Aran Billen,

Greetings! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

The error message appeared “you don’t have permission to access this folder” indicates a permissions issue.

Here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve this,

    • Verify the Azure file share credentials: Double-check the username and password or the connection string used to authenticate and access the Azure file share. Make sure they are correct and have the necessary permissions to read the file share.
    • Check the file share permissions: Ensure that the user account used for accessing the file share has appropriate permissions to read the files and directories within it. Verify that the account has at least "Read" or "List" permissions on the file share.
    • Validate the file share path: Verify that the path you're providing to the scandir function is correct and points to the Azure file share. Ensure that you're using the correct syntax and that the path includes the correct share name.
    • Follow these steps to resolve it:
      1. Right-click on the folder you’re trying to access.
      2. Select Properties.
      3. Go to the Security tab.
      4. Click Edit to modify permissions.
      5. Add your user account (or the account you’re currently logged in with) and grant it Full Control.
      6. Click Apply and then OK.
