Unable to deploy azure virtual desktop

I just started a trial of Azure, and am trying to deploy an Azure Virtual Desktop. After hitting create, I get an error about only 1 account allowed per region. Don't know what that means considering I've never used azure before.

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

The error message you received indicates that you’re trying to create an AVD account in a region where you already have an existing AVD account. Azure Virtual Desktop allows only one AVD account per region by default. This limitation ensures efficient resource allocation and management.

If you need additional AVD accounts, consider creating them in a different region. Azure provides a wide range of regions globally, so you can select one that suits your needs.

    Hi @nenetworks

As suggested by Vahid, this error message typically means that you already have an Azure Virtual Desktop tenant in the region you're trying to deploy to.

To resolve this issue, you can either use an existing tenant or create a new one in a different region. If you're not sure whether you have an existing tenant, you can check by following these steps:

    1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
    2. In the left-hand menu, select Azure Virtual Desktop.
    3. If you see a tenant listed, you already have one. If not, you can create a new one.

If you do have an existing tenant, you can use it to deploy your Azure Virtual Desktop. If you don't want to use the existing tenant, you can create a new one in a different region by following these steps:

    1. In the left-hand menu of the Azure portal, select Create a resource.
    2. Search for Azure Virtual Desktop and select it.
    3. Select Create.
    4. Fill out the required information, including the region you want to deploy to.
    5. Select Review + create and then Create.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
