UVHD files in users folder

Dear All

I have a windows server 2022 standard with RDP app installed.

Recently I have notice bunch of UVHD files has been added to users folder and use around 55 GB.

Any idea what these files are ?

    Hi,

    These files are user profile disks https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/rds-plan-secure-data-storage. According to Microsoft recommendations and best practices, UPDs should be stored on a highly available storage outside of the RDS farm. You should reconfigure your RDS server to put those user profile disks on one of the following:

    Hello,

    It's not straightforward to delete them, but you can opt to switch them to another driver within your RDS farm.
