There's no such thing as a temporary access code. Word 2013 is no longer supported or sold by Microsoft, so it's too late to buy anyway. Here's a page that gives you a free trial of Microsoft 365 for 30 days:

2024-03-18T02:13:11.2566667+00:00 Since Microsoft is one of the wealthiest SW companies in all the world, if WORD 2013 is no longer supported or sold - and it is installed already on peoples machines why don't you provide a way to just disable the requirement for license - I worked on Software for 32 years- seems it would be quite easy to provide a now free, unsupported and can not be sould - UAOR version that's installed.
Just Sayin' from the common man point of view.
