Hi Team,

I am unable to use synapse analytics even though I have registered with Microsoft.Synapse and Microsoft.Sql. Can you please look into this?

@Srini v - Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

If you are receiving an error message that says "The Azure Synapse resource provider (Microsoft.Synapse) needs to be registered with the selected subscription", it means that the Synapse resource provider is not registered with your Azure subscription.

To register the Synapse resource provider, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Azure portal and select your subscription.
    2. In the left-hand menu, select "Resource providers".
    3. In the search bar, type "Synapse" and select the "Microsoft.Synapse" resource provider.
    4. Click on the "Register" button to register the resource provider with your subscription.

For more details, refer to Azure: Register resource provider.

Once the registration process is complete, you should be able to use Synapse Analytics without any issues. If you continue to experience issues, please let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

I had to click on "re-register" because error occured even with providers already enabled. Clean and new account.

Weird because i re-registered Microsoft.Sql provider and worked.
