Just purchased Microsoft 365 Business Standard so that I could have access to teams sharepoint and office365 however it is unusable.

Hi,

I just purchased a license for Microsoft 365 Business Standard

so that I could have access to teams sharepoint and office365 however it is unusable.

First it asked me to create a business name email address name@businessname.onmicrosoft.com (which I simply do not want or need)

Then when I attempted to install Teams on my desktop it has come up with an error

You don't have the required permissions to access this org

Talk to your IT admin for more info or switch to another account

I have attached a screen shot of the error.

I am logged in with the name@businessname.onmicrosoft.com email account.

Can someone please provide me with the advise or support needed to make this work?

I am a small business who would like the ability to use teams to communicate with people AND record the meetings to sharepoint for compliance.

I thought Microsoft 365 Business Standard would provide that for me however at this point it doesn't seem fit for purpose. What am I seeing incorrectly here.

Should I have purchased a different version?

REALLY APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE before I cancel this.

    When you purchase Microsoft 365 Business Standard, you have the option of adding a domain you own, or buying one. Check out Sign up for a Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription.

    Please check this document that we'll walk you through the steps of adding an existing domain you already own or buying a new one. If you purchased a new domain when you signed up, your domain is all set up and you can move to Add users and assign licenses.
