Every time I try to open an app (mostly ones that are not from the Microsoft store) it comes up with this message saying “you will need a new app to open this ms-wpc link and then when I click on the Microsoft store it tells me no apps where found. I have seen a q&a question a couple of days ago but the script that the moderator put in did not work. My dad unblocked all the apps I was having issues with in the family settings on my pc. Also I have tried deleting the apps and re installing them. This only happens to NVIDIA GeForce experience, google chrome,WhatsApp and steam. And links to the internet in some apps. I have asked q&a assist to help me It also doesn’t work if I run it as administrator

The error message "You will need a new app to open this ms-wpc link" typically occurs when Windows is unable to find the correct app to open a specific file type. To fix this issue, you can try resetting the default app settings for the affected file types. Here's how:

    1. Open the Settings app by pressing Windows key + I.
    2. Click on "Apps".
    3. Click on "Default apps" in the left-hand menu.
    4. Scroll down and click on "Choose default apps by file type".
    5. Find the file type that is causing the issue (e.g. .exe for NVIDIA GeForce Experience) and click on the app currently associated with it.
    6. Choose the correct app from the list of available apps.

If resetting the default app settings doesn't work, you can try reinstalling the affected apps. If that still doesn't work, you may need to check if there are any AppLocker policies applied to your computer that are blocking the affected apps from running. You can refer to the Microsoft articles on fixing Microsoft Store app issues and AppLocker policies for more information.

unfortunately it does not help... the problem occured for me when I uninstalled Edge, because it kept disrespecting my default app. I wanted things to be opened in chrom, but windows did ignore me.. I kept and opened everything in edge. Sometimes it asked me if I want to import data, bookmarks etc from chrom... I said no, but for the third time windows ignored it and transferred! I got angry and uninstall edge. Windows punished me and now I can not open any link!!!!!! This is superoutragous!! Now even after I reinstalled the Edge, it does not work and I can not open anything!

PLEASE HELP what to do :( :( :/(
