After reading the description of your problem, I have a few questions for you:
- Has the sender sent the attachment?
- Did the sender and recipient check if the attachment exists via owa? If owa received the attachment normally, then you can try the following methods to narrow down the troubleshooting: 1. You can update Outlook desktop.
(1) You can start by updating your Outlook desktop client and see if the problem goes away after the update. In the meantime, please share your version of Outlook.
(2) In addition to updating, you can also try Safe Mode, which is a step that primarily tests whether the problem is related to any Outlook add-ins and startup items: Right-click the Start button, and then click Run. > Type Outlook.exe /safe and click OK.
- Are both the recipient and the DL inside the organization?
- Have you checked the message trace, which step in the mail transfer process caused the mail to be lost? Or check the mail flow rule, are there any rules set up that affect the normal reception of email attachments?
