Can't install SQL Server 2022 Express on new laptop - "wait on the database engine recovery handle failed"

Hello,

I tried to install SQL Server 2022 Express on my new laptop. All prerequisites are fulfilled.

At the end of the installation I get this error: error message.jpeg
The log file of the installation is here: SSEI-Expr_20240315163124.txt

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Unfortunately the local database I use that needs SQL server does not work because of the unsuccessful installation.

    You have to translate this page in English.

    Please also make sure to uninstall properly the failed SQL server before attempting a new installation: https://www.sql-easy.com/learn/how-to-uninstall-sql-server/

    In my case I even reinstalled Windows as it was easier that way.
