How do I add a physical license key to an MSI Line of Business app to deploy via Intune

Hi

I have numerous business applications that have physical license keys. I have deployed eSet Antivirus as an example and it deploys fine to the device but the license prompt comes up to activate. How do I bundle the msi + mst file in intune so that the license key deploys automatically with the installation via intune.

If the license key is unique to single installation, that would make the app not compatible to mass distribution, so forget about it. If you have only one key for x amount of usage, you would either have to install license service into internal network or there would specific instructions how to use license into those parameters. What I am saying, there is no standard way to include license key into apps, these solutions are always app publisher related. You should study the deployment guide for the app or contact re-seller. Last method is ofcourse to twaek registery :)

Hi Pavel

Much appreciated for your response. It is a volume licensing key for the app. I have used a tool to convert the msi with the license key to a .mst file, but trying to find info on how to bundle it with the MSI package to deploy.

If your MST file provides required license info, then just use
**
**msiexec /i app.msi TRANSFORMS=license.mst /quiet
