DHCP Address State is active even when the lease has expired

For some reason, the DHCP address state stays active even when the address lease has expired.

The expired leases don't show up in the DHCP Management Console, but when I run a powershell script to get the active leases, all the expired leases are still there with the address state as Active.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Hello,

Have you checked the configuration of the DHCP server, scope, and database? Is there anything unusual?

Check the DHCP server event log to see whether there is associated with the lease expired or address assignment errors or warning messages.
