Hello,

for a few days now we have a new yellow letter icon that is displayed with messages.

The icon persists after opening and does not go away until you either reply or forward the message.

The issue started appearing a few days ago and our users are confused as to what the meaning is, so are our admins and myself.

We are running a hybrid environment with Microsoft 365, but the issue is also with Outlook 2019.

Here are screenshots:

Image (these mails are already opened)

Image (this is the icon after replying)

Image (and this is with an unread email with s/mime)

Is there any reason why this icon is there?

We suspect it startet after a SU, but are not sure.

Any help is appreciated.

Best regards,

MF

    Hi @FrankM.1_

We suspect it startet after a SU, but are not sure.

Yes, this is a recent known issue. If you recently installed a security update, the envelope icon hasn't been updated. The engineering team is currently investigating this issue and will get back to you here if there are any updates. Please be patient and wait for the next update.

Thank you for your understanding and patience!
