Not getting verification code on my phone

I disabled Authenticator app from my tenant so that I can be logging in using my phone number, but now I don’t get the verification code to login to my tenant. Even if I do, I always get a message to download Authenticator app. Meanwhile Authenticator app is downloaded on my phone already.

    Did you try to reset MFA registration on your impacted account from Azure portal?
