How can you use Databricks Vector Search with images?

I have been working with Databricks Vector Search and feel comfortable using it on any kind of textual data. However I am running into problems with using it for image searching, and there are no examples available in the documentation to provide more detail. I cannot tell what to put as the "query text"- I am assuming I need to generate embeddings for the image and put that as the query text, but I get an error that the function is expecting a scalar value. I know this is a new feature, but has anyone had success with this? What am I missing?

@Isabel - Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A paltform.

This article: Databricks Vector Search gives an overview of Databricks’ vector database solution, Azure Databricks Vector Search, including what it is and how it works.

This article: How to create and query a Vector Search index describes how to create and query a vector search index using Databricks Vector Search.

You can create and manage Vector Search components, like a vector search endpoint and vector search indices, using the UI, the Python SDK, or the REST API.

For more details, check out the demo video: Introduction to Vector Search.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
