Hello Team.

Why MS Teams is having Archive Feature and what is use.

  1. if any of the end user quits the company , the MS Teams which he is created is left unattended and as a admin we could archive. however we the MS teams groups having multiple owners , then what is the use of Archive feature in MS Teams.
  2. the only positive on this feature which i can see is Archiving a team is archives private channels in the team and their associated site collections and it could be useful if the resigned employee return back to same company and asking for same MS Teams group - as admin we could unarchive and give to them. I could say its data security
  3. And where are the Archive data stored after archived the Ms Teams

    @Ramki ,

    The purpose to archive a team is easy to restore the team if you need it in the future. If the team will not be required in the future, then you can delete it rather than archiving it.

    About “where are the Archive data stored after archived the Ms Teams”, it is also stored in the original associated site.
