ReFS and file server resource manger Compatibility

Sad to say, read this article late. I setup a Drive volume formatted as Refs for File server. and now, while I am setting up the quota in File Resource Manager, I suddenly hit an error message saying that " The selected path is not on a NTFS volume. Only NTFS volumes are supported.

I have no choice but to re-migrate the data to another storage temporarily then reformat the volume to NTFS just to become compatible with FRSM.

Is there any other way on converting REFS to NTFS without formatting the volume? just for sake of doing some re-work in migrating data to temporary storage then reformatting the old volume with REFS to NTFS.

    Hi Homer Sibayan,

I'm afraid there is no method to convert REFS to NTFS without data loss. You have to back up your files and format the volume to NTFS.
