Mac Outlook account adding error

Hello, I have two accounts on Outlook on my Mac book. One of my accounts did not sync. So I deleted the account and when I add it again, it gives me the error "Unable to add account. Please check your credentials and try again" and I cannot add the account. The other installed account is working. I ask you to help.

    According to my research, this could also be a temporary bug. It related to the event of EX742767 Legacy Outlook for Mac users may be unable to connect to their Exchange Online mailboxes.

    The engineering team is currently deploying the fix, so please be patient and wait for the next update. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

    Had same problem. after switching to new look working for me.

    What is your account type?

    Please kindly note that if you are using an iCloud, Yahoo or Gmail account, you may need to turn on 2-step verification for your account and sign in your account with the app password instead of your original password. This is requested by your email provider for the security of your account.

    In addition, please log in to OWA with your account and double-check that your account password is correct.
