A few days ago Windows Defender detected a virus. I put on actions to remove it and it was taking quite some time. It took an entire day of my laptop being turned on and still, it won't go. Well after I shut down the laptop and turned it on, it said that the threat was gone. But today the same virus came and not again it's taking a long time for it to be removed. I want to know why it's taking so long and how can I completely remove it.

Hi @Ramin Ramin , it's possible that the threat removal process is taking a long time because the virus is deeply embedded in your system and is difficult to remove. The virus may be actively trying to resist removal, which can slow down the process.

To ensure that the virus is completely removed, I would recommend running a full system scan with Windows Defender. This will scan your entire system for any viruses or malware and remove them if detected.

You can also try running a scan with a third-party antivirus software to see if it detects and removes the virus.

It's also important to make sure that your Windows Defender is up to date with the latest virus definitions. This will ensure that it can detect and remove the latest threats.

If the virus persists even after running a full system scan and updating Windows Defender, please let me know.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I can help you further.
