Missing Network Tab/Section In SQL Database

When I was creating a SQL Database, there was no option for me to select "public endpoint" in the network connectivity section. There was only a section for private endpoint. I searched up ways to select endpoint and found that I can just change the setting after the server is created. However, after I created the server I noticed that the Networking section is missing in the SQL database (shown in the screenshot). Selecting "public endpoint" is key in creating this database for me.

    Hi Jessica,

Please confirm after creating the database you are navigating to the Azure SQL Server to change the Networking settings and not the SQL Database. You may see a list of your SQL Servers using link below:

    https://portal.azure.com/#view/HubsExtension/BrowseResource/resourceType/Microsoft.Sql%2Fservers

Once you navigate to your SQL Server, you may click on the Networking blade on left. On right you should see the ability to turn on Public access if not already enabled.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ren •,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

As I understand, you could not find Networking Section in Azure SQL Database in Azure Portal.

When we create a new Azure SQL Database, we have an option to select Connectivity Method as shown below:

Screenshot of the Azure portal showing the networking tab for firewall rules.

When Database is already in place, open SQL Server and Go to Network section of it which will be like below:

Hope this helps. Let us know if your question is different or have some other issue.

    Thanks
