In my last job, as an IAM architect, I encountered ENow Sofware's COMPASS.
I've written two books about Active Directory and I honestly believed that Active Directory admins were destined to use multiple tools, juggle multiple dashboards and left to wonder what's going on in their environments.

They put the dashboards on several big screens and enjoyed more direct error handling and Active Directory incident response. The delegation support allowed us to provide information on Active Directory availability to our SOC, Exchange admins, service desk and, of course, to our own team. ... and that's just the monitoring part. The reporting part allowed us to do the same thing with reports. We ended up putting the inactive user report in the hands of HR and no longer had to sweat about lingering user objects.

As Identity has a foot in everything an organization does, I feel monitoring and reporting shouldn't be just with the Identity person or Identity team. Active Directory Administration is a organizational effort. Make it so.
