Azure Function Monitor does not show executions

We recently migrated the App Service Plan to an ASE, so that there is no public connection. Since that day, the executions are not recorded in the Function Monitor, even though they are being executed

Hi - Thanks for the question...
The view comes from App Insights request telemetry data - did you check to see if the query "run query in Application insights" (you can see the link in your screen shot) is returning request telemetry from App Insights/Log Analytics?
It can be that with an ASE with internal access (ILB, no public) some portal functionality doesn't work, you dont state which access you use for the ASE, irrespective as the data comes from App Insight the first step is to confirm if you can see the request telemetry data (and to check App Insights is configured correctly)

The same thing happens with Application Insights, I stop logging in.

The ASE is private.

Could it be that something has been configured incorrectly? Because we cannot deploy functions with the VSCode extension as we were doing before

OK yes a private ASE may well cause problems as this would implicitly prevent access to KUDU from outside the network https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-functions/functions-recover-storage-account#app-is-behind-a-firewall
Probably in this case the best thing to do is access the functions from a jump-box or bastion to a VM which is on the same network or connected network
In an ILB ASE you would also need to ensure the DNS is correct for the various domains as per https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/apps-on-azure-blog/unable-to-access-webapp-or-kudu-site-hosted-in-ilb-ase/ba-p/3739017

Running the function on an ILB ASE should not impact data going out to App Insights or you reading monitoring data providing you're not blocking that (via firewall for example) and providing that if you're connecting to Az Monitor privately through AMPLS (Az Monitor Private Link Service) this is set up correctly
