Can SharePoint search index the contents of email attachments?

Question

I have uploaded emails in msg format to a SharePoint Online document library. I can search for words in the body of the email and the attachment names. However, I am not able to search for words present in the email attachments (e.g., PDF, docx, ...).

Is the indexing of msg email attachments in pdf/docx/xlsx/pptx format supported when the email is stored in a SharePoint document library?

Unfortunately, It is not possible to retrieve attachments from an email which is already saved in SharePoint library.
