Windows 11 Pro. I have turned off recommended apps in Start menu. is there a way to remove replacement phrase: "Recommended. To show your recent files & new app, turn them on in Settings. Launch Start Settings.

I am trying to lock the users ability to access the Settings tools. Have done so via local policy change, but that change still allows the about page to show if the user has a method to click on it. I have successfully prevented most of the Settings access methods, but this one has me stymied....

Thanks!

    Hello,

If I understand correctly, after you cleared Recommended option in Start Menu, don't want to display "Lanuch start setting" message.

We could try to modify the group policy and registry to check.

Hi Hania Lian, this is what I have already done to remove the "Recommended" items from the start menu. The result is that those recommendations are no longer visible.
But in its place is the statement "Recommended. To show your recent files & new app, turn them on in Settings. Launch Start Settings." The Launch Start Settings is a link which opens Settings.

What I am asking here is a method to remove this statement or at lest the link, so that the user does not have the ability through this link to open "Settings".

    Hope this makes sense....
