MDT fails to ingest Win11 prerelease image with constant rebooting issue

We have been using MDT to ingest Win11 prerelease images for the Office automation system. This work flow started to hit a constant rebooting issue when creating the image since late January with Windows build number around 26040. The issue occurs after Install Operating System step- the VM keeps rebooting right after it hits the Windows logo.

We haven't made any change to our MDT workflow recently. I have also verified that the older version of images still work fine. E.g. 26038.1000.240119-1429. While investigating I have tried executing the same task sequences against 26038 and 26077 with minimum steps of partitioning the disk and installing OS. I compared the deployment of both images side by side and 26038 seemed to be working fine while 26077 hit the endless rebooting issue.

We suspected the answer file was the culprit. We shut down the VM after installing OS and removed unattend.xml from the vhdx then boot the VM again. 26038 worked fine and got to OOBE screen but 26077 was still having the rebooting issue. At this point we don't think the answer file is the problem.

Here's the task sequence I used to repro the issue. Note that there's 2 steps of partitioning the disk but they depend on a variable 'IsUEFI'. As the result all the machines were formatted as BIOS. I wonder is it possible that something changed in Windows that makes MBR partitioning not working?

    1,Per the official document, MDT doesn't support Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 operating systems. It's recommended to use SCCM to deploy Windows 11 to client computers. Refer to:

    2,For troubleshooting suggestion, please review the smsts.log, setupact.log and setuperr.log on the client to see if there is any further information.
