Hi,

I know that the disk cost separately - But If the portal gives me the option to add a disk as part of the resource creation shouldn't it be update under Review + create?

Obviously in the pricing calculator it shows the updated price... which include the VM cost + the disk.

Thank you.

@Liran Hovav - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thanks for reaching out to us.

While the Azure portal allows you to add a disk during VM creation, the explicit disk cost isn’t shown in the Review + create section. However, the pricing calculator provides a comprehensive view of the combined VM and disk costs. When you create a virtual machine (VM) in the Azure portal, you have the option to add a data disk during the resource creation process. However, this step might not be immediately obvious because it’s not part of the main VM configuration. Instead, you’ll find it under the Disks section within the VM settings.

In the Disks pane, you can create and attach a new data disk to your VM by specifying its size and name. The pricing calculator provides a more comprehensive view by combining the VM cost with the additional disk cost. It shows you the complete breakdown of expenses.

Hope this helps. and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
