Check if user is still editing the file before revoke the permission

s w 80 Reputation points

Before we revoke any user's permission by API calls, we do want to have a way to check if they are still editing the file, and send a friendly reminder to let them save their changes.

I know graph API calls are not supporting to check user edit status. But does there any way to do it without API calls?

    Hi @s w ,

Thank you for posting in this community.

There is no accurate way to see what a user is editing.

One of the better ways to do this is to look at the audit logs. Monitor user activity related to specific files. If you see recent edits or interactions, consider delaying permission revocation and manually sending an email.
