I have been using MS Query MSQRY32.exe to access data in a 32 bit database using 32 bit DSNs for 30 years. Today I find that MSQuery has been removed from Excel-GetData-From OtherSources. MSQRY32.exe works if I run it directly. It is simply missing from 365 Excel. How do I restore the MSQuery option to Excel-GetData-From OtherSources.
It is Office 64 bit, but MS Query isn't available at all. I have always (as in 30 years) been able to use MS Query in Excel to access either 64 bit or 32 bit databases. The DSN is 32 bit as the database is 32 bit and the database software supplier has provided a 32 bit ODBC driver.

I understand your point though. I am probably using MSQuery64 with Excel 64 bit and the driver is doing the 32 bit datacall.

I tried this and every time I try to invoke msqry32 my excel goes WSOD (white screen of death). Doing another update and reboot now.. praying it fixes the issue. This crap is why I use linux at home.

I finally managed to solve my issue by going to File / Options / Data / Show legacy data import wizards, and ticking the box for "From Microsoft Query (Legacy)"

Thank you Andre! Worked Perfectly. I also have used this from day 1. Was upset when I couldn't find it. Thanks, Microsoft for playing hide and seek once again with features. I need this for my job.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Another work around is to drag the query file (the .qry file) into the body of a workbook - but for those of us who are already MSQRY experts, this is the perfect solution. YOU ROCK!!!
Is you Office 64 bit? Then MS Query 32 bit isn't available/usable.
