URGENT!! Receiving the following error when trying to run an existing application in Windows 11 since upgrading to Feature update Windows 11 Version 23H2 - "No write permissions to directory. (see WinFileWriterImpl::open())"

I updated my Windows 11 desktop PC to Win 11 version 23H2. Ever since I have been receiving "No write permissions to directory. (see WinFileWriterImpl::open())" when trying to open an existing application!

app failure

This app was working FINE a week ago!! Virus scans show everything fine! why am I all of a sudden seeing this and how can I resolve ASAP?? And yes, I did rty uninstalling and re-installing the app itself as well as run as an administrator :( Please help!!!

    Hello,

    According to your description, the issue happened after upgrade to Win23H2.

    I suggest that you could try to run the app under compatibility mode to check.

    i'm administrator but am getting denied access to everything that - Microsoft Community

    Meanwhile, if we upgraded to Win23H2 just now, try to check for update. If any new update could be found, installing them firstly to check. Because new update always could fix some system files and known issue.
