Hello,

I'm trying to setup a Pay As You Go Azure subscription. I followed the links and set everything up correct, adding a card etc.. However, when look at the subscription type, it says "Azure plan".

Can someone please explain why this happening.. I'm trying to contact customer support, but there is no way to contact them. I just keep getting transferred to "Support + Troubleshooting" with no option of emailing or chatting. ....

Thank you.

Hello @SpencerK Sorry for the inconvenience this must have caused you!

It's possible that you may have signed up for an Azure plan instead of a Pay-As-You-Go subscription. An Azure plan is a type of subscription that provides access to a range of services and features, including Azure DevOps, Azure support, and more.

To check if you have a Pay-As-You-Go subscription, you can follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Azure portal and sign in with your account credentials.
    2. Click on "Subscriptions" in the left-hand menu.
    3. Look for your subscription in the list and check the "Type" column. If it says "Pay-As-You-Go", then you have a Pay-As-You-Go subscription.

If you do not have a Pay-As-You-Go subscription, you can create one by following these steps:

    1. Go to the Azure portal and sign in with your account credentials.
    2. Click on "Subscriptions" in the left-hand menu.
    3. Click on the "Add" button at the top of the page.
    4. Select "Pay-As-You-Go" as the subscription type.
    5. Follow the prompts to set up your subscription.

Once you have a Pay-As-You-Go subscription, you can start using Azure services and pay only for what you use.

If you are sure that, the subscription showing up in the Azure portal is Azure Plan not Pay-As-You-Go subscription, you may contact Azure subscription management support by raising a support request. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

Here is the link - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case.

FYI: Azure Billing and Subscription Management support is included in the Basic Support Plan without any charge.

If you do not have access to Azure portal, you can reach out to Microsoft global customer service - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2 to raise a support request on your behalf and help you connect with Azure support.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
