My laptop keeps crashing and I don’t know what to do at this point

Hello,

I have been having constant crashing issues on my Lenovo yoga that I bought a year and a half ago. Since November it has been crashing very often and unusable at times, I reset windows a few weeks ago and that fixed the issues for about a week and a half and now it’s back to freezing and crashing. It tends to have a “critical process died” stop code or other similar codes. In the time that I’ve been writing this post it has crashed 5 times. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing, there is no common denominator other than the problems start after windows updates. After it crashes, it tried to restart and doesn’t fully go through so it just sits on a dark blue screen until I use the power button to restart my system. Another thing I’ve started noticing is that my clock is 2 minutes behind the actual time. Nothing comes up when I run a sfc scan, dism, or any system scans. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Hi Davis,

    Thanks for your post. Before moving on, please understand that for hardware/driver related issue, it is highly recommended to contact Lenovo support at first.

    Also, based on my research, please update the system driver with following method:

    1. Right-click on the start menu and access Device Manager; 2. Click (>) Display adapters to expand the session; Inform which models of graphics cards; Initially I suggest you download Lenovo System update to check for driver updates:

    https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds01...

    1. After making sure the drivers are fully updated, do a clean boot. Press together the keys: Ctrl + Shift + Esc to access the task manager; Click on start and disable all programs that start with Windows; 4. Restart the PC and check if the problem still persists;

    Best Regards,
