How to copy link to selected MS Lists item?

When I have selected / opened an item on MS Lists, there is a text "Copy link". It doesn't work for me - nothing is copied. Is it supposed to be working so is this related to my environment or a general issue within MS Lists?

Does anyone else have the same issue in your organization?

In my experience, there are some requirements before copying link to share a list item:

• If the Copy link button isn't available, make sure you aren't editing a list or haven't selected multiple items.
• The link will work for people only if they already have permission to the list.
