    Hello, @Fabio Jun Morishima !

How do I upgrade my VM image offer?

Azure Marketplace Images are retired as they reach the end of their support lifecycle (example: Windows Server 2008). When this happens, the guidance is to migrate your workloads to current image offers in the Azure Marketplace.

While there has been some documentation outlining how you can do an in-place upgrade, this guidance is being updated as it can cause long term issues (these upgrades result in more support cases and may have upgrade or compatibility issues). The new recommendation is to create a new VM with the OS/VM image of your choice and migrate your workload to that VM.

As a best practice, it's also recommended that you separate your data and your OS by using a separate data disk for your data. This makes upgrades, migrations, and backups much easier.
