We are working on validating the servers, if they are pointing it to the correct KMS server or not. In our Validation we found few pointing to AZKMS.core.windows.net and few servers pointing to KMS.core.windows.net but IP is the same. Could you provide any suggestion, Is it fine to have different endpoint name?

    Hello @Safiyullah S A

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

Both AZKMS.core.windows.net and KMS.core.windows.net are valid endpoints. The difference between the two is that AZKMS.core.windows.net is the new endpoint for Azure KMS, while KMS.core.windows.net is the old endpoint.

It is recommended to use the new endpoint AZKMS.core.windows.net for new deployments, as it provides better performance and scalability. However, the old endpoint KMS.core.windows.net is still supported and will continue to work.

In terms of your validation, it is fine to have different endpoint names as long as they are pointing to the same IP address. The IP address is what matters for the communication between the servers and the KMS server.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
