"Your camera is turned off" upon forced update to Teams v2 on Linux

On Linux with older Teams on Edge/Chromium/Google Chrome the camera was working (yesterday). Today it's now forcing me to use Teams v2, and it reports "Your camera is turned off." On Firefox, it's not yet forcing me to use Teams v2 and the camera works fine.
