Have you run the shared folder troubleshooter or referred to any of the many sites on the internet that describe how to troubleshoot this problem?

    https://www.bing.com/search?q=windows+shared+folder+troubleshooter

You'll need to provide details in order for someone to help you.

What error message do you get?

Are you sure that you are using the correct IP address? Why do you want to use an IP address? If you are using DHCP, the address may change. Is there an event in the security eventlog when the error occurs? Are all machines members of the same active directory domain? Are you logged in with a local account or an active directory account?

    Hello Mohammed Ahmed,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Does the problem occur on all client machines or only one client machine?

This issue could be related to DNS resolution. To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

1.Check the DNS settings on the server and client machines to ensure they are configured correctly.

2.Try flushing the DNS cache on the client machine by running the command "ipconfig /flushdns" in the command prompt.
3.You can also check the issue based on the error message when you cannot access the shared folder by using IP address.

4.If the issue persists, try adding an entry for the server IP address in the hosts file on one test client machine. The hosts file is located at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.

5.If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact your network administrator for further assistance.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
