This looks more of a general certificate handling question, kindly take a look at the Microsoft document Certification Authority Guidance ', it is an old doc ' but similar concepts still apply. It could depend on the scenario and type of clients that're connecting to the server. To be specific, if you are using a cert just for securing a website/app, typically it doesn’t affect if you change the organization name. You may wish to know " DigiCert will deprecate the Organizational Unit field " Note this response contains a reference to a 3rd party site- Microsoft is providing this information as a convenience to you. Microsoft does not control these sites and information found on these sites.

Just to clarify, so I can follow-up with our content team for review/if these details can be published in the docs.
Are you attempting to renew the certificate or creating a new one? Are you leveraging App Service Certificate?

From the screenshot, it looks like it is related to creating certificate in KeyVault ( please confirm, we can also add related tag for insights from the respective SMEs as well)
Could you please share more details on your requirement on why you're looking forward to change the Organization name?
