Listing the products that are installed in a server, will these consume any SQL Server licenses:

I can see you have SQL Server 2012 installed but I do not know what edition it is. Even if it is SQL Server 2012 developer edition it has to be purchased, which I believe you did. Apart from this if you have Enterprise, Standard, web editions you need to pay for license, purchase and install it. I assume you have paid for license. In that case when you install SQL Server many features are installed, some you select while some are installed for other purposes. These all services are covered under licensing so you do not have to pay extra license for it IF you have purchased a valid license.

Services like Browser service, VSS writer services etc are not charged they come inbuilt

SQL Server Developer is a full-featured free edition, licensed for use as a development and test database in a non-production environment.
SQL Server Express is a free edition of SQL Server, ideal for development and production for desktop, web, and small server applications.

    Hi @Avyayah ,

Please use select @@version to check SQL server edition. Such as below screenshot from my environment.

Developer and Express edition are free. The following table describes the editions of SQL Server.

Please refer to MS document Editions and supported features of SQL Server.

    Best regards,
    Cathy
