Trying To Use The Microsoft Beginners Training For Visio And Immediately Ran into A problem

Went to Beginner tutorial for Visio

Followed instructions to select a basic diagram

Clicked on the document shape and dragged it onto the canvas. This is what I got:

This is what the tutorial said I was supposed to get:

How do I get the shape with the arrows?

Make sure that AutoConnect is active. On the View tab, in the Visual Aids group, verify that AutoConnect is selected:
